keiraxingfulynch14. juni watch our girls grow3. november ANOTHER BLOG!yes, we have another blog for another child!
be sure to visit !!
Brian, Pat and Keira 2. oktober and what a birthday it was!At last, Keira is a 'big girl', meaning I guess that she is FOUR, or maybe it is because she is a big sister. But whatever it is, don't call her a little girl, even if she is your little girl!
The days without end birthday party started with a party at school on Friday. Then our local Chinese kids came over for cupcakes. Saturday was the 'real birthday' and cupcakes went to Chinese school. Saturday lunch was the official family celebration. Small, just Brian, Joy, Keira and I. more cupcakes. Chinese food for dinner (Joy says she hasn't ever had this kind of Chinese food!) Sunday we skipped celebrating and it rained all day, then Monday afternoon, the all important KIDS FROM SCHOOL etc party. Eight little girls, and adorable ones at that.
Check out the photos! (of the BIG girl!) 17. september Keira has an announcement!!Keira Xingfu Lynch is very happy and excited to announce that she has a little sister!!!
We got our referral on Tuesday, September 12. Ji Hao Bing is from Huazhou SWI in Guangdong Province.
This means a ONE STOP trip, right to Guanzhou, stay at teh WHITE SWAN the whole time and then home.
This is great great great!
So I will post the picture here and here is the new blog:
woohoo!!
Pat Brian and Keira 26. juni okay, it's official, here we go AGAIN!Well, yes, we have decided to do this again! Actually, we set the goal of deciding one way or the other by Feb 1, 2006, which was when we could start 'paperchasing'. So on February 1, I brought our application and much of the paperwork to CAWLI and we were on our way!
We found out recently that our paperwork went to China (DTC) on May 23, 2006 and we are logged in (LID) on May 29, 2006. Everything is 'counted' by the LID date.
So, already we are almost a month since LID!
We applied same as we did before, with an application for a Non-special needs child. We asked for a range of birth dates from April 2003 to August 2004. This would make our new daughter one or two years behind Keira inb school. Keira is born on THE last day of the school year.
So I suppose that since I haven't posted since (oh can it be!?) February, you want to see some pictures of Keira.
I will post them after I finish this note.
Keira is doing wonderfully and her English is coming along nicely. Her 'heart disease' is almost a non issue. One more visit in September to the cardiologist and if all is ok, then once a year just to check her out!! So much for our special needs heart baby!
Keira does have 'intermittent exotropia' of her eyes and will have surgery onb August 22 at Concord Hospital to correct that condition. If you don't know what that condition is, I can describe it. You are sitting talking to Keira and she is say 3 feet away. You cannot tell if she is looking at you or over your shoulder. One eye is looking each place. So she has no depth perception. This surgery will fix that. So remember her on that day!!
over and out and more to come!! 15. februar medical update, etcWell, Brian just came home and said people are still actually looking at this blog!! So I better update a few things.
Keira continues to absorb everything like a sponge. Luckily she sticks pretty close to Brian or me, because she can start the dishwasher, shred paper, etc. It could all be a disaster!
Dora the Explorer is her favorite, Winnie the Pooh etc are next. Today is Target I picked up Bambi 2 and she had a fit. NO!
The cardiologist says that Keira looks good! She has gained two pounds and grown 1.5 inches since we adopted her. Of course, that makes her still in the 0 percentile in weight and about 5th percentile in height (down from the 10th percentile!!). But she looks filled out and she has muscle tone. And she's cute besides.
The eye dr. didn't present us with as good news as the cardiologist did. Unfortunately. Keira is nearsighted and always will need glasses, which Omi (grandma lynch) says she cannot be a Lynch and not wear glasses! But Keira also has intermittent exotropia in both eyes. Her eyes tend to go outward. When you look her in the face, you cannot tell where she is looking. This causes double vision and a number of other things. So the plan right now is eye muscle surgery before she enters school (not preschool!).
Speaking of preschool, Keira loves preschool and they are finally hearing her talk. She knows everybody there and sticks up for her pal Teagan when the need arises.
Keira loves to sit in my lap, and will change over into Brian's lap until she sees my knitting coming out, then back to me PRONTO! funny kid, wants all the attention, even if the knitting is for her! |
